1. The Short Version
Fred is built to be generous, quiet, and fast. We do not want good customers counting every submission like loose change in a drawer. That said, unlimited does not mean bringing a forklift to tea. If your usage starts to look less like a busy workspace and more like private infrastructure, we may ask you to move to a custom plan.
2. What Counts as Fair Use
Normal business use is fair use. Product launches, newsletter spikes, seasonal campaigns, client handoffs, hiring rounds, support bursts, and the occasional very successful form are all expected. We care about sustained heavy usage, abuse, resale, and usage that makes the service slower or less reliable for everyone else.
3. Extensive Usage
We may review an account when a workspace regularly exceeds or approaches any of these levels:
- 10,000 form submissions per month.
- 50 GB of file uploads per month.
- 100 GB of total stored files.
- 10,000 email notifications per month.
- Unusually high webhook, plugin, retry, export, AI, or automation volume.
- Activity that materially degrades service quality, storage cost, or delivery reliability.
- Using one subscription for multiple unrelated businesses, clients, teams, or organizations unless your plan allows it.
These are not trapdoors. If you are near these limits, we will usually contact you first, explain what we see, and work out the least annoying path forward.
4. Occasional Spikes
A spike is not a crime. If your launch goes well, your event registration takes off, or a campaign has a very good week, Fred will not clutch its pearls. Repeated high-volume usage, always-on bulk workflows, or heavy automation should move to a plan built for that load.
5. Custom Plans
Custom plans are for teams whose usage needs dedicated limits, storage, throughput, retention, delivery guarantees, or operational support. If you need one, we will price it around actual usage and requirements, not vibes. We also will not hold your data hostage while that conversation happens.
6. Subscription Sharing
A workspace is meant for one organization and the people helping that organization operate. You can invite team members, contractors, and support staff who work on that organization. You may not use one subscription as a shared umbrella for unrelated companies, agency clients, resold forms, or separate businesses unless your plan explicitly allows it.
7. Abuse Is Not Fair Use
We may throttle, suspend, block, or remove access without extended notice for spam, fraud, phishing, malware, security attacks, illegal content, malicious automation, platform abuse, or anything that puts Fred, our customers, or third-party services at risk. The butler is polite. The firewall is not.
8. Our Promise
When usage is heavy but legitimate, we will try to handle it like adults.
- We will be reasonable.
- We will contact you before billing changes when practical.
- We will distinguish growth from abuse.
- We will keep the service fast for everyone.
Fred carries the tray. Please do not ask it to carry the building.
